![]() The attention to detail in every aspect of design is evident, from the grand chandeliers to the ornate furnishings. The Grand America Hotel boasts stunning architecture and exquisite interiors that exude timeless beauty. We all hope to be back soon the girls still ask us to send their pictures to both the hotel and restaurant to say thank you! ![]() Can’t really think of anything negative to say about it. The hotel was quiet at night so we all slept well. The gentle piano or harp music in the lobby bar / restaurant in the evenings was a great way to soothe the girls. ![]() Plenty of loungers and attentive service. On the warmer days the outdoor pool was lovely. The weather was a little cold for the first couple of days, so the indoor pool was the winner there. The hotel has two pools, so of course we had to try both. We took an easy 30 min bus ride to Mount Olympus, and ate at Rawtopia (highly recommend- very healthy organic & allergy friendly food and the kids ate all of it!). We had fun riding the bus and trains around town. The girls especially loved the soup, and one really liked the salmon, the other the steak. ![]() Something for each of us - all empty plates and pleasantly full stomachs. The food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. We ate at the Laurel - just amazing! They accommodated the kids and our allergies very well. Room had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable and the view over the city towards the mountains as the sun set was incredible. Decor was beautiful, classic but not ostentatious. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and we are just a regular family. Our young girls (<10) fell in love with the hotel and staff. ![]() From start to finish everything was perfect. ![]()
